We arrived on a stormy night after booking at 10 mins to 9pm because a relative was in hospital and we needed accommodation. The car parks were full, but our welcoming host kindly offered us the big space in front of the garage door he barely uses. It was a pleasant stay. Gull and Z petrol stations are a three-minute drive away.

The room had everything I needed, which made my trip home much easier and more relaxing. I stayed four nights and enjoyed a piping hot breakfast on my day in, absolutely delicious. The room was perfect and roomy, and the location was fantastic. The hosts were amazing, with exceptional service, and the motel is well maintained. The cleaners were attentive, and I enjoyed chatting with the staff. It’s beautiful and very affordable. Thanks for being part of my trip home and making it so enjoyable. I’ll definitely stay again! The room was perfect for my stay at the Barringtons Motor Lodge on the 1st Jan, and the hotel manager was an absolute delight. After I accidentally left my precious rings behind, he kindly mailed them back at no extra cost. I’d highly recommend staying here and will come back next time I’m in Whakatane!

Steve made check-in easy and was very friendly. The room was huge, with a well-stocked kitchen, parking right outside, a big walk-in shower, plush towels and plenty of bathroom linen. The price was reasonable too. Awesome stay, highly recommend 👌.

I’m staying here for eight weeks because I’m working in the area, and everyone has been incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The owners and team are awesome, and the place is exceptionally clean. Thank you for the exceptional service.
