I booked a twin room for $130 for one night, but was offered two single rooms instead, which was fine. Then just after 10 pm I was woken and asked to move onto a mattress in the first room so the host could fit a booking that had just arrived. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid this accommodation. I'd give it no stars if I could.

Update: This place seems to have had a lot of care put into it since my last review. I've seen much more of it now and know someone who lives there, so I'm happy to change my star rating. It still needs a lot of maintenance. I don't know the details of how the place is run or what they charge, so hopefully the price reflects how it looks.

It's quiet and comfortable, and close to shopping. The kitchen has hot plates, a microwave, and a full-size fridge, though no oven. The bathroom has rails and other fittings for someone with a physical disability or an older person. Good price, and only 25 minutes from Dunedin.

For the price, this is top accommodation: very clean, new, and comfortable. A few things were missing, like shampoo, and there wasn't much in the way of drinks. There were also too few glasses and cups. The view wasn't much, so that's why I'm giving four stars.

The studios are well furnished and equipped for travelers or anyone looking for a place to stay in Winton. I had an amazing stay. Janette, the residential manager, is kind and helpful. I'd love to stay here again and highly recommend it to everyone.
