Al Wesal Hotel

We finally found this restaurant when we were desperate for lunch around 3 pm, after passing Bidbid on the way to Wadi Bani Khalid. We’d barely seen anywhere suitable to stop with decent hygiene along the route. We thought we might find something in Ibra, but the new road seems to bypass the city. My wife spotted a small sign on a two-storey building, and it turned out to be a lucky find. There were three of us, and they had just two biryanis left. I guess they don’t get enough guests to keep much stock, but the chicken biryani was especially tasty. If you’re travelling this route and need lunch, I suggest stopping here. Excellent! We weren’t staying at the hotel, just eating at the restaurant, but reception still gave us a warm welcome. The entrance washroom was clean, and they served warm kawa, Arabic coffee.
