The resort’s setting is fantastic and the concept is great, with exceptional staff. But it no longer feels luxurious, though it may have in the past. The pool is full of sand and moss, with no filter or cleaning agents in the water, and the spa isn’t working. The menu is limited, yet the prices suggest a five-star dining experience. The TV and refrigerator didn’t work either. With so many amenities in this condition, the room rates don’t match the quality.

From arrival through our return, I loved the atmosphere and the feel of the place. It sits beautifully on the sand dunes, with striking views all around. The open-air spa villas, water features, reception, restaurant, rooms, and suites all fit the setting well. There was also a great choice of food and drinks, served discreetly.

Yogesh and Piyush deserve a special mention, and the food was a real highlight. Everything tasted extremely fresh and homemade. The location and staff were amazing too. The resort seems to have lost some of the splendor it must once have had as a luxurious getaway. The tents and rooms look a little dated now, and upkeep and reinvestment in the park seem to have dwindled.

The location is nice, but I expected more from somewhere costing over 200 rials. In most of the rooms we tried, the televisions weren’t working, and the showers gave off yellow water with a toxic smell. Breakfast and dinner came at a very high price.

The staff who were there did their best, but the place seemed badly managed and short-staffed, while management appeared indifferent. There were just two servers at breakfast, the breakfast itself was poor, and the pool was run down. Service is essential for a resort positioned as luxury, and it was clearly lacking. I couldn’t see the manager anywhere during breakfast. The location is nice, but the experience was unsatisfactory for the price and positioning.
