I’d only choose this place if you just need somewhere to stay. The amenities and appliances can’t really be used. Everything is old, and I couldn’t use any of the fridge or oven.

We probably got bedbugs after staying at this guesthouse. I ended up with lots of red spots on my feet, back, neck and elsewhere. The room was dirty and the bed was hard. I wouldn’t recommend it. Without the bedbugs, I might recommend it for one cheap night.

Nizwa is expensive, so we liked having this simple, well-located place to stay. It’s about a 10-minute walk or 3 minutes by car from the centre. It’s quiet and very private, and the owners are lovely.
