Grand Flora Hotel

We’ve stayed here twice, and both visits were quite different from what earlier reviewers seem to have experienced. The service was impeccable, and the rooms were great value. Hot water is the one thing that needs work, since it was lukewarm at best. Even so, it’s easy to recommend at this price.

Service and price are good, and the hotel is decent. But humidity has damaged the walls in almost every room. Be careful about which room you choose if you’re travelling with infants.

We stayed at Hotel Grand Flora from June 6 to 8 2025. The staff were polite and well behaved, and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and tidy, and the spotless bathroom really stood out. Service was excellent throughout. We also had delicious food at the in-house Café L’Amour. It was good quality and reasonably priced. A very comfortable stay, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The people were friendly, and the hotel is roughly in the middle of the city. By car, it took about 10 minutes to get around within the city. Our room was clean and had no insects, which was good, though it was pretty average and some of the facilities, like the chairs, were below average. This is a decent place to sleep at night, but not really a resort where you’d spend all day. It’s not a motel or hostel either, just a reasonable place to stay.
