Al Sawadi Beach Resort & Spa

There were surprisingly few guests, even over the weekend, and the beach bar was closed, probably because of that. The beach had a nice view of the nearby fort and comfortable sunbeds, though it could have been cleaned more often. The pool, jacuzzi, and rest of the hotel grounds were spotless. It’s a quiet, relaxing place with gardens and a private beach, great for unwinding by the pool. Our room was cosy and clean, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of tasty options. We didn’t try anything from the menu.

We were almost alone on the beach and by the pools, which was nice, though it’s a shame some of the bars were closed, probably because occupancy was low. The beach is very wide, with shells in the sand but also a bit of plastic. The sunbeds by the pool and on the beach were comfortable. Our room was spacious and clean, with a sea or garden view. There’s also a gym and spa offering massages. We had a lovely stay at the Al Sawadi resort, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety.

The rooms are still quite nice, but a lot of the facilities are in disrepair. The beach is polluted and covered in trash, including things that could be dangerous to walk on. We found a bunch of rusty nails attached to a piece of metal. Someone was also checked into our room after we’d arrived. Even with a reservation, check-in took 45 minutes. The place seems to have been much nicer and better run five minutes ago.

I spent my first wedding anniversary here. The staff were very friendly, especially at the front office and bar. The room, pool, and breakfast were excellent. Thanks to everyone there!
