Souly Eco Lodge

I loved the private outdoor shower in the bungalow, and the quiet, beautiful beach is a great escape from the crowds at bigger hotels. The resort is secluded and peaceful. But the facilities feel old and need work, the carpets are dirty and could just be removed, breakfast wasn’t great, and the WiFi barely reaches into the bungalow. The price doesn’t feel justified, you’re really paying for the beach.

The staff were warm and caring, and I appreciated the front desk offering me a fair price. Breakfast was simple but had the essentials. I stayed at Souly Lodge for three nights in my own spacious, cozy villa, right on the beach. It felt private and close to nature, with ocean sounds every morning and an atmosphere that brought back my Hawaii trips. The villa fit naturally into its surroundings, and the soft sand, palms, and waves made it feel like a real escape. I also appreciated their approach to guest privacy. They don’t take visitors into occupied villas to show them around. Instead, they have photos on site and a mock-up room to give future guests an idea of what to expect. That says a lot about how considerate they are. It was a peaceful, magical stay, and I’d come back without hesitation.

It’s a lovely spot for relaxing, well away from the crowds, hotels, and their guests. The downside is that the cabins and restaurant seem overpriced, and I left feeling I hadn’t got what I paid for.

The cabins are spacious, with A/C, an open shower, a coffee corner, and a fridge. A sea-view cabin gives you a full view of the ocean, which is nice, and there’s car parking too. Breakfast is decent, and the beachside privacy is appealing, but don’t expect five-star service even if the nightly rate is similar. WiFi is barely available, and WhatsApp is the only way to reach reception. Check prices on booking apps before you arrive.
