Fireside Inn and Grill

George said he could make me something from the lunch menu even though we were there for dinner, though it would take a bit longer. It was our first visit to the grill, and the food was good. Prices were slightly higher than I would have preferred. The atmosphere and service were very good, and his young daughter served us. That felt a little unusual, but she did a good job.

We arrived after lunch and were the only ones there, but they were still happy to serve us. Ordering was a little tricky because of the language difference, until George stepped in. The half chicken over salad was succulent and full of flavor, and the ceviche mixto they made to order, I think, was delicious too. Such a fun, funky place. We'll be back!

The tuna I ordered was being delivered fresh before it was cooked, and the fruit and vegetables come from the garden. Both the sauce and vegetables were delicious, and the pineapple and mango upside-down cake with ice cream was exquisite too. The food is the focus here, and it really shows. It's a cosy, laid-back place. Some staff don't speak English, but there are English menus on the wall that you can point to. Definitely eat here if you're in Boquete.

The restaurant is the highlight, with Chef George's delicious food and ingredients that are mostly organic and grown in the garden. It's a must-try in Boquete. The place is quiet, and the rooms are comfortable and affordable, with basic essentials like a TV, Wi-Fi, and a hot shower. A good budget option for a stay, and the restaurant is worth a visit for anyone.
