We had a good stay overall, but the kitchen was a disaster. It was very dirty and poorly maintained, with food scraps and frying oil left in pans on the cooktops every day.

We stayed for two weeks and would definitely come back. The place is clean and well maintained, with a relaxed atmosphere, good staff, and a nice vibe. Luis and his staff were wonderful, especially Luis, who made sure we had everything we needed. They speak English and Spanish, and there are no gringo prices. It’s a nice way to meet locals and other travelers. The Mercado is less than a five-minute walk away. A great stop for travelers passing through or people heading to fish in Pedregal.

My wallet disappeared while I was here, so keep an eye on your things. There’s no security. Otherwise, it’s a pretty place, and checking in and out was easy. The privacy curtains and price suit what you get, and it covers the basics of an acceptable hostel. It probably won’t make you want to settle in the area, but you can get some rest while traveling.

I loved the tropical, laid-back feel, the pool was great for cooling off on a hot afternoon, and both the staff and other guests were awesome. My one issue was with the AC room I paid for. When I got back at 1am, the AC was off, there was no way to turn it on, and I couldn’t find any staff. I was very warm and didn’t sleep well that night.

There’s a nice sitting area, a pool, hammocks, and a little bar for an evening drink. Titi in the picture is always the highlight of the day. We had a dorm room with 8 beds and an en suite bathroom and toilet. It was clean and spacious enough, with warm shower water. The hostel is easy to get to, has good parking, and is near a supermarket and mall. The kind staff were helpful, too. My reason for 4 stars instead of five is the lack of luggage space in the dorm. I wish the beds were higher, so bags could fit underneath, or that there were shelves to organize luggage. Still a great place to stay.
