The grounds and outdoor spaces look lovely and are clearly cared for. Inside, though, our room was in awful shape, old and poorly maintained. The air conditioning in our room never worked.

The views are lovely, and the garden is a real highlight, especially if you spot the turtles. The pool is decent too. Service could feel warmer, and the place seems past its prime by several decades. Still, nobody comes to Valle de Anton expecting the Ritz, right?

The scenery is the one thing this hotel really has going for it. Our room was just 8 square meters, with poor furnishings and a bed that barely fit, yet it cost $89.10 even with an Expedia discount. The food is labeled Peruvian style, but after many trips to Peru, I can say it definitely wasn't. Prices were over three times what I'd expect: $78.60 for two small starters, one main, a soup, and three drinks. The included breakfast wasn't great either. I'd avoid staying here unless there are no other options.

A lovely little wonder tucked into nature. I had such a great time here without needing anything fancy, and I really loved the place. They even have a cat that likes to hang out with visitors.

A quiet, beautiful place with a great mountain view. The Peruvian family running it were so kind and pleasant. Rooms are basic but clean, the food is good with Peruvian specialties, and breakfast is included and very nice. We'd definitely come back.
