Selina Casco Viejo Panama City

We were upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment, and there was no service to our room. The people here were always smiling. The walking tour runs every day and was great, and the bike tour was excellent too. It’s so close to everything in old Panama City: the harbor walk is a block away, and churches and supermarkets are two blocks away. We enjoyed the morning yoga, and the hand weights were enough. The rooftop bar is a lovely spot for sunset.

Forget sleeping here if you’re in one of the rooms on the fifth floor. The rooftop bar is right above on six, with parties going until 3, 4, or even 5 in the morning. The music and bass make it really hard to sleep. We tried earplugs, but they didn’t help.

The rooftop pool and bar were a nice place to spend the day, then got lively at night with music and dancing. My room’s AC worked very well. I do wish it had an outside window, though it wasn’t a huge deal for me. I booked a private room with a shared bathroom. It’s reasonably priced and in a desirable location, but don’t expect it to be super clean or luxuriously comfortable. The bathroom near my room needed more cleaning, but there were several toilets on each floor, so I used another one. I’m happy to stay here again since it gave me what I needed from the accommodation.

I had a terrible time here. The bar staff and security guards were some of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered, and the place is unnecessarily expensive. Panama City has much better options.
