The TV in the open area played for most of the day, which was the one thing we didn’t enjoy. Everything else made for a lovely stay: the breakfast came with fresh fruit, and they asked how we wanted our eggs. Our room was quiet and beautiful, with a closet and a line where we could hang our clothes after the beach. There was a hammock for every room, too. We love dogs, and their three were all friendly. We also enjoyed chatting with guests from all over the world.

Pedasi felt local and welcoming, without being as overrun with tourists. Casa Lajagua was one of the best parts of our Panama trip. April, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helped us organize and plan everything. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and a relaxing place to wind down at the end of the day. The lovely staff made a fresh, tasty breakfast. Ten out of ten, what an amazing place.

April, the former Canadian hockey player, is a legend. She puts so much effort into looking after guests and handling their requests. The courtyard pool is romantic, and the Casa has its own character. The rooms are a little dark, but clean and functional. You can walk into Pedasi for a few restaurants, though the town itself doesn’t offer much. Some lovely, nearly deserted beaches are a 30-45 minute drive away. We wanted a bit more infrastructure, so we really liked Playa Venao.

April, who owns Casa Lajagua, was very friendly and gave us recommendations for what we needed to know about the area. We stayed two nights and went to see the beautiful beaches nearby. It was a great stay.

This family-run place is rustic, and that’s part of what makes it charming. It’s a relaxed, beautiful setting, and the care and compassion are top-level, even though it’s no Hilton or Sheraton. The attention is excellent, and I loved staying here. You won't find better in Pedasi!! 💕
