Rainforest Yasmin Hotel

A quiet, clean place with lovely plants, a swimming pool, and great beds. It’s less than a 10-minute walk into town, with plenty of waterfalls around the area. The host is friendly, energetic, and knows the region well, with lots of good restaurant suggestions and a great guide. This area hasn’t been discovered by the tourist industry yet. A truly relaxing place to stay.

Yasmin and Ricardo were incredible hosts who helped us through anything. We got stuck in San Francisco with no bus coming, and they took care of us. When we were injured in the wilderness and didn’t know how to get home, they helped then too. We planned three days and ended up staying a week, and could have stayed longer. Come enjoy the local community and its wonderful people, and connect with the native Panamanian way of life. You’ll be surprised. A once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Yasmin and Ricardo, who own and run this family business, are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. It’s the only place to stay in Santa Fe! It’s a “hostel” without dorms, just private rooms with private showers, comfortable and no frills. There’s no air conditioning, but rooms have fans, and Santa Fe nights are usually around 72F or cooler. The in-ground pool is refreshing. It’s just a couple of blocks from the Santa Fe sign in the heart of town. Ricardo or a family member can take you to the area’s waterfalls. Do it, it could be the most memorable part of your stay in Panama.

The pool was a great place to relax after a day of hiking. The owners and their son were super helpful with hiking information, places to eat, and things to do in Santa Fe. Fantastic accommodation, highly recommend staying at the Rainforest Yasmin Hotel.
