The small inn felt private and cozy, and it was a great fit for our two nights on the way to Calovebora. Santa Fe’s beautiful nature is close by, and we learned a lot about coffee and local production on the tour with Celestino.

The breakfast on the backyard terrace each morning was such a lovely, cared-for moment, with a calming view. We chose Coffee Mountain Inn because we wanted to travel by bus and be around people, and having tours from the hotel made that work really well. We did both a day hike and a twilight hike with our kids, ages 6 and 10. The owner was kind and thoughtful about their needs. Service was great, and the American and Panamanian owners may be helpful if your Spanish isn’t great. I really, really recommend this place.

The hosts and staff at The Coffee Mountain Inn were so friendly and helpful, and it made a great base for seeing Santa Fe. We loved the tours, especially a jungle hike to a beautiful waterfall and a magnificent night hike. Both are easy to recommend. Our stay in Santa Fe was amazing!

The hosts are very friendly, share plenty of information, and can help arrange lots of activities. It’s a quiet, remote spot in a pretty area, with simple but good facilities: excellent beds, air conditioning, and a peaceful patio with lovely views. Breakfast is served there, and you can also have a dinner ordered in advance.

Santa Fe itself is a laid-back place for relaxing, hiking, and swimming, with just a few restaurants and no bars or big hotels. The room here was one of the nicest of our two-week Panama trip, with a lovely terrace and great views where we enjoyed breakfast or an evening book. The owners were polite, though not especially friendly or welcoming.
