The location by the train station is handy, and the friendly receptionist was appreciated. The room was small but acceptable, with cleanliness okay overall. There are quite a few stairs, though. My main issue was the noise: the room had no window, and the bathroom ventilation opened onto the hallway, so we could hear people coming and going. Fine for one night, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay.

We spent two nights here for our Machu Picchu visit. It sits off the main road, so nights were quiet, yet the train station, restaurants, and everything else were close. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom had good warm water. WiFi worked well too. The cafe attached to the hotel opened super early, which was handy for getting something to eat before our early Machu Picchu time slot. Reception and cafe staff were super kind. Nice, affordable place to stay.

The location is good, but that's about it. It wasn't very clean, and we felt cheated: we paid the same for two rooms, yet one had no windows and was much, much smaller than the other. When we asked, he just said it was the only room left.

The hosts were wonderful with our teenage daughter when she felt unwell. Even after checkout, they let her rest on a lobby couch for hours and kept our luggage for us. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. It's an easy five-minute walk to the bus stop, with the train station just around the corner. Such a good place to stay in the cutest town.
