The staff were kind and helpful, and even left a little lunch outside our door when we had to head to Machu Picchu at 5am and miss breakfast. They also stored our luggage while we waited for our train and wandered around Aguas Calientes. The location is handy for the station, restaurants, and other things, though the rooms are a bit small. We had plenty of hot water one day, but none the next. Ask for a room away from the street if you're getting up at 4am for Machu Picchu tickets, since the front rooms can be noisy until 10pm or even midnight.

The owner was friendly and speaks English, and a simple breakfast is included. It's an easy walk to the train station and the Machu Picchu bus. Rooms are small but clean and well kept. The showers were sometimes cold, which is why I'm taking off a star.

There was a cockroach in the room, and the bathroom smelled bad. It was hard to get the shower to the right temperature, and the service was terrible, though the room itself was okay. This hotel came with the package I bought. I would never book this hostel myself.

It was noisy at night. Breakfast was included, but for two people we got just three pieces of bread, plus coffee and tea.

The owner is attentive, and the rooms are basic but clean. The central spot is convenient. Some rooms have no windows, while others look straight onto the street, where late night noise and fast food smells can drift in.
