I had barely gone into and back out of the room before asking to cancel. Since I’d just paid by card, the receptionist only wanted to refund half. That felt completely dishonest and unprofessional. The rooms are tired, and I’d suggest choosing one of the much better alternatives instead.

There’s parking, and the hotel is central, just a few blocks from the main square. The rooms are small, but you get hot water, a pool and a good breakfast for a fair price. It has what you need to enjoy sunny Arequipa.

The room was much smaller than advertised, with just one tiny window, and it was dirty, old and run down despite looking good in the photos. I felt completely scammed. They also add a 10% commission if you don’t pay cash in dollars. You’d be better off at a hostel.

Ana was especially caring and friendly. She kindly made us sandwiches for our very early checkout. The rest of the staff are great too, but Ana really stands out.

The price shown when booking through apps like "booking" isn’t the same as the amount charged. Also, Google Maps directs you to the wrong location.
