Hampton by Hilton Arequipa

My family and I felt safe and at home from the minute we arrived. We spent four days at the Hampton Inn, and the staff were welcoming, professional, and focused on making us comfortable. The included breakfast was far and away the best I've had, and I travel a lot. This Hampton Inn in Arequipa is nothing like the Hamptons in the US. The service honestly made me feel better looked after than at a five-star hotel. I highly recommend checking it out! The Harveys - US

The rooms were quiet, the staff were warm and welcoming, and breakfast was nice. It's a very pleasant hotel, three blocks from the main plaza and an easy walk to the best restaurants and sights. One of the better higher-end places I've stayed in Peru, mostly because of the staff and how quiet the rooms are.

The beds were so comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night, even though it's very close to the main square. I slept really well. The rooms felt average, though. Only shampoo was provided, and I would have liked conditioner and shower gel. The shower temperature kept changing, too. The staff were great across housekeeping, reception, and the restaurant. They greeted me in the halls, and at dinner they even brought me a phone stand when they saw I was watching a show on my phone. I could also get breakfast early for my 5 a.m. excursions. It was pretty good, with a ham and cheese sandwich, crackers, chocolate, an apple, juice, and water. The breakfast buffet was great as well. I tried the Chicharrón for dinner. The Chicharrón itself was good, but the sides, sweet potato, regular potato, and dried corn, were really dry, in my opinion, and there was only the tiniest drizzle of sauce. I couldn't finish it. A side salad or something lighter might work better with such a fatty dish. I did love the desserts, though. The three scoops of ice cream and the volcano cake with lúcuma ice cream were both delicious, so I'd have a sweet treat here before bed.

The staff made the stay for me. Everyone was polite and very helpful, and they made sure I was comfortable. The rooms are comfortable too, and the hotel is in top-notch condition. It's much better than other standard Hampton Inns. I'd stay here again.
