Holidays Hostel Arequipa

I took a taxi from the bus station and found the place easily. The owner kindly let me check in early, which I really appreciated. My room, 203, had a balcony facing the main street, so there was plenty of noise from people, music, and traffic. Light sleepers should ask to move to another room. It's only a block from Plaza de la Armas and close to everything. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the shower had strong water pressure. Breakfast was basic but okay. I can't complain for what I paid.

The location is excellent, but the place is noisy and the bathrooms are dirty. Music from the bar starts at 7 a.m. and goes until midnight, so it wasn't somewhere I could rest. The women at reception were nice. The day before my flight, I woke up with several BEDBUGS bites, including on my face, and they were extremely itchy. I told the staff, but they acted like the bites had another cause. I'm sure they were BEDBUGS, as I've been bitten by bedbugs before.

The owner is caring and happy to help with whatever you need. Breakfast was delicious, with egg, bread, marmalade, smoothie, and coffee, and they serve it on the rooftop terrace. It's centrally located. I really recommend this hostel!

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and shared areas were clean, the beds were nice, and the showers had hot water all day. Staff were helpful too. The rooftop was nice, though there weren't many people around to create much of an atmosphere.
