The day before I was due to go to Arequipa, the company contacted me asking for extra money to fit three adults in the room. I'd booked for 3 adults, and my receipt clearly showed that. When I pointed that out, they told me to cancel. It was really annoying and the customer service was terrible.

At $80/night, this is outrageously expensive compared with downtown hostels. The rooms were dirty, the beds old, and there were shards from a broken mirror lying around in the bathroom. Paying by card only worked after several attempts.

Vallecito is very quiet and good for relaxing, and it's quite close to the center. Tipika, a very good restaurant, is two blocks away. I've stayed here several times, and the service has always been very kind. It's a super family-friendly place.

Marco and his staff send our greetings from Andahuaylas. We spent eight days here as a family and couldn't find anything to fault. The location and service were excellent, and we hope to come back soon.
