Cabu Hostel

On our three month trip around South America, this is where we’ve felt most welcome and cared for. Arturo, the owner, is one in a million. The rooms are really comfortable, the showers are hot, and the WiFi is very strong. There are beautiful views from the hostel, and it’s very close to town. Highly recommended.

Right in the center and only a five minute walk from the main plaza, this place is great value. Arturo was an amazing host, super friendly, and gave me lots of tips and recommendations. My room was big, the beds really comfy, and the terrace was a lovely spot to enjoy the sunshine. Totally recommend staying here.

The downsides were having to ring the bell every time to get into the upstairs hostel, and the pigeon right behind our room, which started making noise at dawn. Room #4 was quite bright too, since there was no curtain to block the light through the glass bathroom door and above the room door. On the plus side, the location is great for the city center and supermarket, and the private room with bathroom was reasonably priced. Arturo’s service was outstanding and very accommodating. He answered questions in person and on WhatsApp and helped us book tours. We had a beautiful patio with views, a clean room, and a portable heater for cold nights. Breakfast was simple but wonderful, and we could check in early.

Breakfast came with a view we won’t forget, and the owner was super friendly. It’s a clean hostel, and we were allowed to leave our luggage while we went on our Colca canyon hike. Can highly recommend this place. Thanks, cabu hostel.
