It's a clean, secure place and good value for the money. The bed was quite hard and definitely small for a double, though it was reasonably quiet and not luxurious. It suited what we wanted, an economical place close to the center.

Having booked well ahead gave me confidence, and the first impression was good. They supplied shampoo, soap, towels, plenty of toilet paper, plus free extras like a refrigerator and microwave. The room was a little small for a family double, and there was no bath mat. It's close to the hotel, though the road is too steep to walk. It closes at 11 pm, and after that you have to call for someone to let you in. It was quite noisy at 3 am and 6 am because of a woman in charge of the room, separate from the others.

Everything was peaceful apart from getting in and out, since you have to call for the attendant to come downstairs and open the door. There's no one at reception. The rooms are clean and in good condition, and the staff are very friendly. The downside is that all access is by stairs, with no elevator or facilities for people with disabilities.

A welcoming place with comfortable rooms, hot water, TV, and Wi-Fi around the clock. It's centrally located and works well if you're traveling with family, for work, for cultural events, or for any other reason and don't want to spend too much. Hostal Cruz de Piedra has five floors, all reached by stairs, so there's no elevator. It's best to book ahead through WhatsApp and, if possible, pay a deposit. The price and location are acceptable, and it's a very welcoming place. They could be more thorough when cleaning the beds, but otherwise it's great.
