I paid upfront for four nights through Booking.com, but after one night I left and the owners wouldn't refund the other three. I could barely sleep that first night because the walls were so thin. I heard guests talking at normal volume and using their phones, along with everything from the street, including chickens and dogs. My room floor was sticky and incredibly dirty. When I wiped up a little spilled drink with a napkin, I saw just how filthy it was. The small table was stained, and the bathroom smelled of sewage. Don't stay here. Stay in Pisac instead.

We had a wonderful four-night stay at R House. The room was comfortable and spacious, the service was friendly, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The garden was a nice place to relax, and we were only a few short blocks from one of Peru's nicest Plazas. Highly recommend.

The basics are covered and it's clean, but what stood out was the amazing staff. Monica, Marco, and a woman on the night shift whose name I unfortunately forgot gave exceptional customer service, making up for any shortcomings an experienced traveler might notice. It's well located, within walking distance of good places to eat. If you'd rather avoid the touristy hotels in Urubama, consider this little gem in a small, friendly village.

The staff were nice, and the garden is pretty, which is why I'm giving it two stars. Otherwise, this hotel was below average. My room smelled like sewage, the walls and windows were paper thin, and it got very cold. Breakfast was terrible, just a stale piece of bread with fake butter. I don't recommend it.
