Casa Cristobal Centenario

Rodrigo, the manager, was the standout for us. He was kind, professional, and ready to help, shared useful local tips, and made sure everything went smoothly. We felt welcomed and looked after, almost at home. Amazing job, guys. Casa Cristobal Hotel is clean and comfortable, in a peaceful spot with a nice city view. I had a great stay and would gladly come back. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cusco.

I stayed here three times while on different tours. Breakfast was great and the staff provided good service. But the room on the ground floor was very noisy because of reception, and the walls weren’t as soundproof as advertised. We asked about paying extra for a late checkout, but the fee was more than a whole extra night, so we declined. We’d already stayed seven nights, and the room wasn’t booked afterward. I thought they might have been flexible, as other hotels have been.

Staff offered us coca tea as soon as we arrived, and if you need to leave before 7am they’ll prepare a breakfast box with a sandwich, fruit, water, and a juice box. Breakfast is delicious, with juice and hot tea, and they also do same-day laundry for 10 sol/kg and store luggage for free. The location is great, about a 10-minute walk from everything. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. My only complaint is that the room stayed a bit cold even with the small heater, though it did help. It took us a while to adjust to the winter weather here, and the corridor was sooo cold.

The service was excellent, but the rooms felt strange, noisy, and short on privacy. In the first room, our windows were very close to the neighboring room’s, making it hard to have privacy, especially since one of those windows was in the bathroom. The second room had no windows facing outdoors at all, which concerned us as a safety issue in case of fire.
