A decent option for backpackers and people out adventuring. The beds are comfy and the linens fresh, and the place is hospital-level clean. The rooms are only a small step up from a hostel, though, and sound carries through the rooms and hallways, so bring earplugs.

Breakfast had a good range of choices each morning, and the staff were friendly. The location was handy too, within easy walking distance of the centre and close to Sacsayhuamán for exploring Cusco. We stayed as a couple for three nights in a double room in March 2026, but didn’t enjoy it enough to return. Our room was beside rooms being worked on. A note said construction would stop by 6:30pm, yet we had to call reception at 9:30pm because of drilling. That eventually stopped, though there was still some hammering now and then. The bed wasn’t comfortable and our sleep suffered. The lack of warning about the work was the main problem for us.

The service is what made this a five-star stay for me. Staff carried our suitcases up the stairs, gave recommendations, arranged an airport taxi, quickly sorted out a TV problem, and had complimentary hot drinks available all the time. They also booked us great massages at the hotel, thanks Noehly! For $40 a night, I couldn’t find anything close in the US or most of Europe. The rooms are simple, with minimal furniture and decor, but the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. It’s quiet, about a 10-15 minute walk from most attractions, and the breakfast is great. There’s also a lovely little café next door. If you’re here for a few days and planning lots of activities, it’s perfect. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but I’m not paying Ritz Carlton prices either.

I found it peaceful and quiet in Cusco, and I’d highly recommend it to travelers looking for that. The stay was excellent value for money. The staff stood out most: very professional and always attentive to guests’ well-being.
