This felt much more like staying in a home than a hostel, and it’s one of the best places we’ve stayed in during five months of travel across Europe, Asia, and Peru. The family running it are wonderfully warm, welcoming, and helpful. At check-in they gave us a map and showed us nearby markets and attractions. It’s in a quiet area, but still close to everything. They also helped us find the collectivo stations and arranged a taxi for our departure, letting us keep the room for an extra half hour at no charge while we waited. Very good value for money. Our room was spacious, well equipped, and had lots of big windows. The bed was so comfortable, with soft, fluffy blankets and duvets. The electric shower was instantly hot every time. Towels were provided, and they gave us free soap and lent us a hair dryer for our whole stay. We also loved the refillable liquid hand soap dispenser. Their laundry service was excellent and affordable: as of January 2026, it cost 6 soles/kg, and laundry dropped off in the morning came back that evening. Breakfast was included, with coffee, delicious eggs, bread, jam, butter, and milk. One of us is gluten intolerant, so they brought out a bowl of hot water for instant oats. The fruit selection varied, including mango, papaya, apple, blueberries, avocado, and banana. It was always nicely prepared and perfectly ripe. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
