The location is really central, and the people here were kind. We stayed in the accommodation on three separate days while visiting the Cusco area. The building has a shared courtyard, with different rooms owned by local community members. We spent most nights at Saul's (2 Saul Dream House). He was very kind and helped us find somewhere to stay when we were nearly left without accommodation the night before Inti Raymi. They also looked after our luggage while we went on a four-day trek to Salkantay. I'd recommend it for the location and the kindness.

We spent four nights here with two other people, and the host was wonderfully friendly and helpful. For Cusco, the price is amazing, probably the best you'll find. The house has a main sitting room and a covered courtyard with three rooms opening onto it. Each room is different, so check the booking details. There's one shared kitchen with a fridge, gas cooker, pans and plates, plus two shared bathrooms. One has a toilet and sink; the other also has a shower. It's in a residential part of Cusco, and the rooms are spacious. The host is super friendly, and there's a kitchen to use. Mornings can be a little noisy with people moving around. The shower was warm enough to manage, but not hot. It wasn't as clean as a hotel, though it wasn't dirty either. Highly recommended at that price.

We had an awful stay here, honestly close to a horror story. The room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived, and things from the previous guests were still there. There was no toilet paper, the towels were dirty, and the bedspread was completely filthy. The curtains had blood stains, and the bathroom was the worst part, absolutely disgusting. This was one of the worst things that happened to us in Cusco. I really don't recommend it.

A really unpleasant, dirty place, nothing like how it's presented. If you want to avoid a bad experience, don't stay here.

Good price, hot water, and a bathroom of my own.
