I had a fine time here, staying all week in a private room for about $20 a night. The staff, price, and location were all great. Just be aware, if hot showers and a lobby where staff don't babysit their kids are important to you, this may not be your place.

The breakfast was delicious, and you can make your own if you prefer. The whole place feels like a cozy little home, like being a nephew visiting after ten years. Everyone was cheerful, attentive, kind, and honest. They can help with tours and are careful that tourists aren't scammed or taken advantage of. I highly recommend staying here, 100%.

The room door was broken, and we had trouble with the hot water. Apart from those issues, it was fine, and not bad for backpacking.

We showed up without a reservation and only meant to stay the first night, but ended up not wanting to leave. The staff are so friendly. It's simple rather than fancy, but really welcoming.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is served early, which works well if you're heading out to explore the region. They also keep coca tea available to help with altitude sickness, and the service is good for a very affordable price. The hostel is right in central Cusco, less than four blocks from Plaza de Armas, the main attraction in this picturesque city.
