We liked Yolanda’s apartments so much that we returned to Cuzco for a second stay in another one of hers, and it was just as amazing. The apartments were more spacious than we expected, with private terraces or sun rooms. Yolanda was welcoming and incredibly helpful the whole time. She shared great local recommendations, stored our bags between stays, arranged taxis, and took care of laundry. All in all, a 5 star experience and a great place to stay. I’d very much recommend it!

Yolanda was an extremely kind and accommodating host, and speaks good English. She went above and beyond to help with our early starts and luggage, and we’d have no hesitation recommending her apartments. We stayed 4 nights while we were in Cusco for the Inca trail. The rooms were lovely, with everything we needed: good heating, hot water, kitchen utensils, and coca leaves for the altitude. The views were sensational. It felt very safe, and the historic centre was a 10 min walk away.

The view is superb, and the laundry service is really convenient. It’s well located, with good access to great food and coffee in San Blas proper. The price is pretty reasonable, too. A lovely, comfortable apartment, with a large comfy bed and a very well equipped kitchen with excellent quality utensils. There are a couple of maintenance problems: the shower needs resealing and a longer curtain, and there’s no toilet roll holder. Some holes in the wall also need filling where radiators were removed.

The uphill walk back to our delightful two level townhouse gave us the equivalent of 2 serious hours at the gym, especially at 3,400 m altitude. The taxi can drop you on the road, but from there it’s 32 steep stairs and about another 150 yards to the entrance. It’s not for the unfit or infirm, though the effort brings great views. Inside, everything was comfortable. Downstairs there’s a living/dining room and kitchen, with the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The decor is very funky and makes for a good mood stay. It’s been delightful and good for our health.

The only drawback for me was the five minute uphill walk to the hotel, since there’s no road that goes there. I actually liked the exercise and being set back from the street, away from the other hotels in the area. I got the apartment and had views over the whole city, with mountains in the background. It has a loft bedroom and is nicely decorated. The price is a catch. I travel quite a bit, and this small boutique hotel is something special.
