The room was warm and cozy in Cusco’s cold weather, with a heater and a really spacious bathroom. Raymi Hotel also made early tour starts easier, thanks to luggage storage and packed lunches. Breakfast had plenty of choice, too. Its traditional decor gives the place a lot of charm and suits Cusco well. The location is another big plus: Plaza de Armas, museums, galleries, restaurants, and souvenir shops are all nearby, so it’s easy to get around on foot. The street is busy, but that makes exploring convenient.

The dining room felt cold on days without sun, and the shower water could have been hotter. Still, it’s a nice place with friendly service. They gave me two extra blankets when I asked.

We ended up in several rooms over the course of our split stay. Some had a window and a small balcony, while others didn’t. For what we paid, it was a great deal, and we really appreciated how helpful and accommodating the staff were. Breakfast was great, and the location worked perfectly for us. We could walk to many of the things we wanted to see in Cusco.

We came back to find our room door wide open, with all our belongings inside. Without telling us, the hotel had treated the carpet with contact adhesive and left the room unattended. They expected us to stay despite the strong smell. We only got moved after insisting, and the replacement room was worse than what we had paid for.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in South America. We arrived early after an overnight bus, and one of the women let us eat while we waited for our room. Our request for a quiet room was followed exactly. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with heating and hot showers. The service was exceptional. Highly recommend.
