San Francisco Cusco Hotel

We only spent our last night in Cusco here, but it was the best place we stayed during the whole trip. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional. Breakfast was amazing too. I wish we’d booked a full week. They have heaters, elevators, and all the essential western amenities. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Cusco.

The view over the city from my sixth-floor room was fantastic. There’s a great lobby where they serve cocoa tea, which is really useful for travelers in Cusco. Breakfast was nice, and there’s also a great rooftop and bar. The bathrooms did have a bad smell, so I hope they can fix some plumbing problems. Still giving it five stars for the view and value.

I ended up booking here in an emergency after SkyAirline mishandled my flight, and it worked out, though it wouldn’t have been my likely first choice. The towels were quite worn, and I’d suggest replacing all the site’s linen. It’s just off a convenient street near CUZ airport, where taxis are easy to find.

Nobody greeted me or offered to help with my luggage, and the service was terrible. One young man who works there always has a scowl and seems annoyed when taking restaurant orders or answering questions. Making small talk with him definitely wasn’t an option.
