Sight Qoricancha

Qorikancha temple is just across the road, and it’s well worth a visit for a look at both Incan and Spanish history. The hostel is well located, with good services, spacious dorm rooms that feel a little tight in spots, and hot water in all the rooms. Every bed has a curtain, its own socket, and a light, which is great. There aren’t enough keys for every bed, though, so if people in the dorm have different plans, especially at night, it may be worth arranging things in advance. Reception isn’t open 24/7. The central covered courtyard is a nice place to eat and socialize, since all the guests pass through it. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and easy to reach and quick to respond on WhatsApp. They also run a tour company, but I didn’t use it, so I can’t say much about it.

The best part of staying here was Ada. She runs the place and is the sweetest person in the world. I was honestly confused when she said she wasn’t an angel. This felt like a home, not just a hostel. My friends and I left our bags here for five days while we did the Salkantey trek, and when we came back they hadn’t been touched. We’d booked another night after the trek, but got back very late. Ada stayed up waiting for us and welcomed us with so much care. Before the trek, we spent three nights here. It’s right across from the temple of the sun, with a beautiful view of Cusco’s hills. Definitely stay here.

The hostel was clean and the beds were cozy, and the location is very convenient, right across from the temple of the sun. We stayed at sight Qoricancha for four nights, and all the staff were glad to help with whatever we needed. Sra. Ada even helped us book rainbow mountain after her working hours, as she was trying to leave. She was very kind and accommodating.

Ada was a wonderful host. We stayed five nights in total and were greeted with cocoa tea. The rooms were simple but just right, the beds comfortable, and the location great. In the middle of our stay we went on a multi-day trek, and Ada helped arrange luggage storage while we were away. She gave us the warmest welcome when we got back. Highly recommend.
