On my first night in Cusco, the airline had lost my bag, and the staff helped me coordinate getting it back. The place was quiet and simple, with a great view. Much nicer than the crazy hostels near the Plaza.

In the iconic San Blas neighborhood, the Hostel has wonderful views and a great location. It’s also a nice place to spend time with the other guests and volunteers who work there and learn about other cultures. The rooms are very comfortable. The bathroom is shared, but it’s always very clean, and the breakfast they offer is delicious. You can also add transport to and from the airport to your booking, and there’s a spacious garden with a beautiful view.

It was so cold I almost froze, and there’s no insulation between the rooms. The place never gets cleaned. I had to clean my own room and the kitchen, and there was never anyone at reception to answer questions or help.

The location is very far from the center, and breakfast service was terrible. They said the girl serving me was new, which I can understand, but the lies she told were unacceptable. I canceled two days and had to leave, and they still haven’t refunded me for the second day. Completely disappointed.
