Zans Apartments Cusco

We moved here after another small hotel didn't meet our expectations, especially with its rooms, and were glad we switched. The apartment was clean, cozy, compact but nicely arranged, and very comfortable. The prices felt fair, and we'd definitely stay again if we return. señhora Milagros owns the place and runs it with her son. She's very friendly and helpful, easy to reach by text or phone, and ready to assist without being intrusive. As foreigners in a new city, we felt safe and comfortable. It's a little away from the centre and not on or behind the main square. We liked the quieter, less crowded setting. Nearby are laundromats, local restaurants, “droguerías” and supermarkets, so most things are close by. The centre is a short taxi or Uber ride away.

The host's hospitality was top notch. They looked after us well and were very helpful, and she was flexible about a late checkout within reasonable limits. The apartment was very clean and modern inside, and breakfast was delicious. It's not far from Cuzco plaza de arms. The one downside was the warm water: it wasn't very hot all day, and the host said they were looking into it. Everything else was excellent, and I definitely recommend staying here.

The landlady was very nice, and breakfast was simple but good. It's a 12-15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas, passing the market of San Blas where you can get cheap lunch. The room had no outside view, only onto the internal patio. The first floor gets no sunlight and has a heater. Some parts of the building could be better insulated.

Milagros was patient and gracious when our arrival in Cusco was delayed, and helped arrange transportation to the apartment. This is a family-run business, and you can tell they care about guests' comfort. Breakfast was plentiful and good, with eggs, bread, coffee and fresh fruit. We saved the apples and bananas as snacks for the day. Miligros also gave us great suggestions for places to visit and shop, and accommodated our late checkout request. She's an amazing hostess without being overbearing. I'd stay at Zans again if we return to Cusco.
