Hotel Tamia

The staff do their jobs well, and you can talk with them about their experiences. But the owner seems to take advantage of them, paying little or making them stay longer when they're working out of necessity. He comes across as heartless. He also pushes things as "free of charge" to get you to return, then charges you for them later. 🤨🙅🏿‍♀️

We were left waiting outside for over three hours before we could get in and rest. My wife was sick, and we'd come to Huaraz for an emergency, choosing this hotel because it was near the hospital. The service was terrible. The owner called us on his cell phone and said he had several hotels, which is why he had no staff. When we complained, he told us to leave instead of understanding how uncomfortable his guests were. The WiFi didn't work, rooms weren't cleaned, and there was no housekeeping. The bathroom bins were full and dirty. A hotel should be available to its guests. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

The staff were professional and ethical, and the service was very good. It's an excellent hotel. I'd highly recommend it and would stay there again if I return to Huaraz.

If you're going to Huaraz, remember to visit Tamia Hotel. It's a great place that meets what a traveler expects, and Mr. John provided excellent service, always ready to help with visitors' needs.
