Lhotse Hostel B&B Huaraz

The rooftop terrace had the best view in huaraz, and Abel made banana pancakes there in the morning. The place is in a peaceful part of town, so I slept really well. My room was very clean, the bed was super comfy, and the shower was powerful and warm. Abel was such a welcoming, kind host and knew a lot about local hikes and routes. Thank-you!

I needed somewhere comfortable to rest between hikes, and this worked perfectly. It was very quiet while I was there, so you might not meet many other travellers. The hostel has a kitchen, a rooftop, and a relaxation area. For a budget stay, I can't imagine better value: my ensuite room had a hot shower. They also run hikes at a good price. I did Mateo with them and it was well organised. When I had to wait for a night bus out of Huaraz, the owner let me keep the room all day at no extra charge.

I paid S/.55 for a clean first-floor room with an ensuite, facing the street. The hot water worked most of the time and had good pressure. There was a basic breakfast included, and a kitchen area on the top floor. No parking on site, but there's a 24 hour garage at the bottom of rhe street.

I made a reservation through Booking, but was told the room wasn't available. Instead of cancelling the stay themselves, they messaged me so I would cancel it. I was told they do this to avoid being delisted from booking for cancelling too many reservations.
