The staff were generous with their help, and the food was great. They even cooked the piranhas we caught! We came with some of our Scouts on our first ever trip to the Amazon, so we weren't sure what to expect. I was surprised to find bathrooms with indoor plumbing. The showers are cold, but after time in the humid Amazon, that felt just right. There's wifi, and we'd love to return. It was an amazing experience.

Our private group used three of the Lodges. The covered boats made transport easy, and we had good service and buffet-style meals. The location was great, and the Guides were excellent on both tours and hikes.

I spent 10 days studying here with Amazon Rainforest Workshops, and it was a wonderful experience. Pam, the owner, along with the guides and lodge staff, worked hard to make our stay great. It's an amazing lodge and company. For a firsthand Amazon experience with a business that cares about sustainability, I'd suggest Explorama or one of their other lodges.

The food and staff were both great, and being in the middle of the jungle made this feel like a real Amazon stay. It's no Ritz Carlton, but to me, it's better.

Explorama is the company's lodge closest to Iquitos, while Saiba Tops and Explornapo are the other ones. It's clean, developed, and well run, with good food and chances to spot monkeys, tapirs, and macaws. It may not be as far into the forest as some other places, but it's still a wonderful way to experience the peruvian Amazon.
