Jorge was an outstanding guide on our Heliconia tour. He kept checking that we were safe and enjoying ourselves, and his storytelling made the Amazon feel personal and brought it to life. The staff were wonderful, especially when I was sick. They were helpful, kind, and went well beyond what I expected to make things easier. The lodge and rooms are beautiful, right in the jungle. One thing to bear in mind: a third party advertised this as “luxury,” but I wouldn’t describe it that way. It’s remote, so the food and other things are fairly basic. What we had was tasty and enjoyable, just set your expectations accordingly.

Best trip in Peru for me. Viktor was the BEST guide, amazing and spoke very good English. The lodge service and food were great, the rooms clean and cozy, and everyone on staff was kind and helpful. They even had entertainment one night. I’d highly recommend this place for an Amazon experience. Gracias 😍

Max was a great guide. He pointed out lots of animals and plants we would’ve completely missed without him, and explained everything we saw. The four days were packed with interesting activities, with a program that ran smoothly from airport pickup and Amazon and tributary boat trips to meals. The service was friendly and professional. The lodge sits right on the Amazon, which is a perfect location. We stayed for three days and really appreciated the staff’s kindness and the great service from them and our guide. It had a family-like atmosphere.
