La Casona Inn

The beds were really comfortable and made up just right, with spare blankets available if you got chilly. My standard room with a private bathroom cost S/80, though prices can change. It had both air conditioning and a fan, and the AC was quiet enough to leave on overnight. The staff were friendly and attentive, and after a day out exploring, a swim in the outdoor pool under the lit fountain was a lovely way to wind down. I enjoyed my stay.

For a two-star place, it’s a great stay. The rooms are attractive and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and provide high-quality service. They also offer airport pick-up and drop-off, and there’s a pool. Breakfast needs work: there were no fruits or vegetables, which is a problem for vegans like us, especially since many come to Iquitos for ayahuaska. The papaya juice wasn’t very good either. Even with that, I’d rate the experience four stars overall.

The air conditioning was great and everything was clean. We could leave our bags there for the whole day after checking out.

The AC works, and there’s a TV. The staff are friendly, though you should be prepared to speak some Spanish. Make sure you don’t confuse it with the Casona Hotel.
