It feels like staying with a family hosting guests, and gives you a more authentic Peruvian experience than a fancier hotel. The owner and staff are warm and helpful. The hostel is basic and inexpensive, with shared bathrooms, but very clean; the bathrooms are good and have hot showers. Breakfast is included and generous, and the shared setting makes it easy to meet other guests. The neighborhood feels safe and is fairly quiet, with central Miraflores, shops, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Wi-Fi is available, though it doesn't reach every part of the building yet, so for a good connection you may need to sit in one of the common areas. They're working on improving it. It's especially nice if you know a little Spanish, though you can still manage if you don't. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Lima.

After trying several guesthouses during my few months in Lima, Casa Rodas was easily my favorite. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, and the rooftop has a big terrace. Ofelia, the owner, speaks English and was very helpful with whatever I needed. Her friend Venus works as a tourist agent and can arrange trips around Peru. I had a great stay at Casa Rodas. Bye for now, my good friend Ofelia.

The homemade jam was the best I've ever had. The people were wonderful, the place was clean and fairly quiet, and the location was excellent.
