We had a very bad experience and had to find another hotel at 130am. We booked through expedia, but the receptionist was dismissive and rude when we arrived at 1AM. She asked three times whether we wanted to pay in US or S, and each time we said S, but she kept trying to charge us in US at a higher exchange rate. The room wasn't the one we'd booked, and when we tried to pay by card, the machine wasn't working. We had no cash left, only the card, so we asked if we could pay the next day. She refused to give us the room or cancel the booking online. She made excuses that she didn't know how to cancel it and blamed us because her machine was broken. She was extremely difficult and uncooperative, and said her name was Dolly. We ended up still being charged. I'd strongly suggest avoiding this place.

The rooms are plain, mostly grey, brown, and white, and the breakfast area is spartan. Still, for a reasonable price, you get friendly, helpful staff, a spacious room, and a simple but sufficient breakfast buffet. It's very central in the lively department of Lince, the geographical hart of Lima. The room had everything promised: a safe, fridge, water cooker, quiet and well-adjustable airconditioning, all working well. There was hardly any street noise, the bed was good, and the shower was hot and good. I don't hand out 5 stars easily, and this definitely isn't a 5 star hotel, but I gave it 5 stars for all that.

The staff were excellent and helpful, and I had a nice 4-night stay. But the check-out issue left me very upset, and I would never stay there again or recommend it. The shower was broken and only gave hot water. At check-out, they said I had handled it incorrectly and added an extra charge. I refused to pay the $20 because it felt very unfair, even if it was a small amount. They then refused to return my credit card until I paid. Shame on the management. Extortion should not be tolerated!

The rooms had no heat, which was the only thing I didn't like. Aside from that, it wasn't bad, and I had a great experience. Check-in wasn't too difficult even though we couldn't understand each other, but I knew enough to get by.
