Kokopelli Hostel Lima

The hostel has good food and drinks, plus a nice pool. You can even take kayaks out into the ocean for free, which is pretty cool. The beds have curtains and a little lamp for extra privacy, and the rooms are decent. The bathrooms weren't for me: they're shared by men and women, with just two showers and one toilet for quite a few people, though they were clean. It's a good place for partying if that's your thing, but the music gets a bit loud.

The hostel's main bulletin board was useful for finding things to do, and the rooms were good for a hostel. Friday and Saturday nights, the upstairs bar was lively and I met some really friendly travelers. Sunday felt noticeably quiet. I loved my stay at Kokopelli Lima and was very happy with it.

The free breakfast is basic, just buns, butter, jam, and some fruit, though the coffee is good. Staff were extremely friendly: the rooftop bar team are young volunteers from around the world, while the receptionists are local, and everyone speaks good English. Dorms are small but clean, with comfortable beds. Each bed has an outlet, lamp, and little locker, so bring a padlock. There's also a large locker with an outlet inside. A very cool place to meet people without the noise of a party hostel.

I slept really well and didn't hear any noise at night, despite what I'd read in other reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful, even after I'd checked out, and the tourist information desk can help you out. Rooms are spacious, and the large lockers fit a whole bag. Each bed has a privacy curtain, an outlet, and a small shelf. I really liked this hostel.
