Puriwasi Hostels

Amazing location, and I’d definitely stay here again. The bed’s a good size and probably the comfiest mattress I’ve ever had, though the lumpy pillows need replacing. Lockers are big enough for bags and valuables, but bring your own lock. Breakfast is included and okay. Evening parties are good, stop at 12, and the music can’t be heard from the dorms, so you can still sleep.

A great time here. The beds are comfortable, and they offer 24h airport pickup. The staff were excellent, especially barkeeper Jaq, who’s really nice and remembers guests and their favorite drinks by name. A great hostel for staying in Lima.

The location is great, and the rooms are reasonably priced, but the cold showers were a real drawback. Lima isn’t warm enough for that. Breakfast is included, but it’s basic: sugar puffs, bread, jam, and fruit. Paying by card adds a 6% charge, which feels steep. We also tried a walking tour and found it pretty terrible. The guide mostly named places and said we could take pictures, with no history or interesting facts.

The terrace is a nice spot for the limited breakfast, and the beds and location are good. The warm-ish water was spotty, and there was no wifi in the rooms. I liked the other guests, if you know what I mean, that’s why you go to a hostel, and the guys at reception and the bar did a good job. I came back, and breakfast was better and the water hot, though the room signal was still faint. It should improve. Antonio at reception at night was outstanding.
