The beach at Vichayito is amazing, with a wide stretch of sand where you can walk into the waves before it gets too deep. We just came back from four days at Makani Vichayito hotel with our two small children and really loved it. The friendly, helpful owners made us feel welcome. Thanks, Manolo, for the inspiring words. The hotel is split by a road: reception and rooms are on one side, while the restaurant, two pools, and beach access are on the other. Special mention to Elias for the friendly restaurant service, and the food was delicious.

The rooms at Makani are fresh, clean, bright, and super cozy, and the beautiful beach is very calm. Manolo and Valerie are lovely and helpful. The food was amazing, and the chefs and Elias were super nice and professional. Staying here made our time in vichayito one of the best parts of our Peru trip. I highly recommend Makani if you’re going to vichayito.

We chose this peaceful, tidy place for my birthday while traveling from Ecuador, and my husband and I stayed five days. The rooms are roomy and have AC, and the property is right by the beach. Manolo, Valerie, and the kitchen staff were so kind, and the service was excellent. We'd happily return, highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed Vichayito, and Makani was a great place to stay. Our Deluxe Suite had a sea view, and the two pools and beach pool areas were just right. The hosts took great care of us, answering questions quickly and helping with local events. Breakfasts were very good, the cocktails too, and all the staff were excellent.

We were there for a family vacation and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and ready to help whenever we needed them. One drawback was that the restaurant closed at 5, and there weren't many other places to eat nearby.
