The barking from the dog training place next door started when we woke up and kept going until we left. With the roof windows’ poor blinds, the sun woke us too, which was rough while jet-lagged. The rooms also have no closets or drawers for clothes. Food and water were way overpriced, and nobody helped us get a taxi. They made a big issue of someone else having booked, even though registration was in our names, and kept insisting someone else had to sort it out instead of looking for a solution. The administration wouldn’t answer the phone. As a foreign guest, I won’t return. They also refused to refund the IGV taxes.

The pool was the highlight, especially for the kids. The rest was mixed: the food was decent enough, though not cheap, and several children’s games were broken or out of service, as if they weren’t being maintained anymore. Our bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and they’d lost our room key, so they called maintenance to replace the lock. One outdoor light bulb was out, and they said they wouldn’t change it. The access road is a narrow, one-lane gravel street, so be careful and wait before entering if a car is coming the other way. You get what you pay for here. For a better stay, you’d need somewhere more expensive.

There’s no disco, even though it’s advertised, and the karaoke space is small. The pool is just 0.8 m deep.

It was a long way from the relaxing place shown in the official photos. The bathroom was dirty, there were termites in our room, and a dog show next door meant barking. And on Sunday, loud reggaeton started blasting at 8 am.
