The garden is lovely, and the rooms feel cozy with comfortable beds. It’s very close to both the market and the town center, and the WiFi worked well. Service was polite and welcoming. Rates start in the 20s per night, though you can find cheaper places. The less expensive rooms use shared bathrooms.

Gloria and her Mum make this the best place in Pilcopata. It’s simple, clean, and comfortable, with hot water and WiFi available around the clock. If you have trouble sleeping in hot weather, I’d bring a personal fan.

A handy place to stay when passing through Pilcopata, especially before heading into the Amazon basin or taking the Manu road. The rooms are clean and nicely maintained, and the staff are super friendly.

Gloria speaks Spanish and English, which is helpful if you don’t speak Spanish. She also connected us with plenty of ways to go birding and explore nearby, including a boat trip up the Rio Madre de Dios to a macaw clay lick in Manu National Park, and a visit to Cocha Machuwasi with local guide Yonatan of Pico de Hoz. The rooms were comfortable, and the lodge is right by the Pilcopata market, handy for groceries and meals. We had a fabulous stay!
