Green Diamond Amazon Lodge

Our guide seemed like a walking wildlife encyclopedia. He spotted loads of animals we never would have seen on our own, and told us about both the animals and the plants. The Green Diamond Amazon Lodge stay was great, largely thanks to the lovely staff. The airport pickup was on time, then we had a pleasant boat ride to the lodge and lunch when we arrived. The cook deserves thanks, the food was excellent for the whole stay. Our bungalows were cozy and clean, with a comfortable bathroom. A great experience, absolutely recommend it.

The rooms were quite nice, and the attached bathroom was amazing. Lunch and dinner cost 25 soles each and were excellent, and the chef was welcoming and really nice. I had expected more after reading all the great reviews, though. The grounds weren't in the condition shown in the photos: everything was overgrown except for a small rectangle near the boat ramp. We were the only guests, which made it feel lonely, and the tours were very expensive. Still, it was a good stay and I'd probably come back, maybe in the busy season. Say hi to Green and Blue, they're entertaining.

Brian led our activities, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about his work. We saw lots of wildlife, more than we'd expected. The lodge was comfortable and clean, with netting and mosquito nets to keep bugs out. We spent five days there last month and ate all three meals at the lodge. Everything was tasty and varied. Thanks to Jorge and the team for a memorable Amazon stay.

We were the only guests for most of our four-day, three-night stay at the start of November, apart from the final day. The guide took just the two of us on every tour and showed and explained the nature and animals. There was plenty of delicious food, and we had a great time. It was a perfect place to relax after the exhausting Andes trips. We warmly recommend the lodge!
