The rooms were beautifully furnished, and sharing home-cooked meals with our lovely hosts under a starry sky was a lot of fun. We had a unique stay, though there are a few things to know. The place is in a community among the shallow reeds by the shore, not out on the big lake. We wanted to see the lake, but were told it takes over an hour by large tour boat to get there. The toilets are organic, the water pressure is poor, and hot water is limited. We didn't mind, since we knew what kind of experience we had signed up for, but it's not a Hilton. Transport costs extra and there isn't another option. There's also a charge to see the community and for dinner. The community now depends on tourism, so rather than seeing fishing and farming in action, we were taken through a demonstration and then pressured to buy things.
