My Surf Camp Peru

We spent the week checking out different breaks and waves, which really helped me improve. Victor's a wonderful coach with a lot of experience teaching other surf instructors, so he can help whatever your level. The gear was excellent, and the food and accommodation were much better than I expected. I'd heard about other surf trips in Peru, but Surf Camp Peru beat them for both the experience and the price. Book it, you won't be disappointed, and you'll make a lot of progress in a week.

The hostel is clean, well kept, and reasonably priced, and Victor replies to emails quickly. It’s an easy walk to the surf spots, and the local buses are just six minutes away on foot, so I had no trouble getting around. Punta Hermosa feels relaxed and safe. Victor and his family are kind and helpful, and he knows a lot about surfing. The hostel is also close to town for meals.

I stayed for a month and found it one of the better choices in town if you're keeping an eye on your budget, especially with the backpacker room. They offer flexible prices, the food is great, and Victor, the owner, is a really nice guy who checks if you need anything. They also take you to lots of different surf spots.

Spending the week with Victor was a real pleasure. His optimism and general goodwill made a lasting impression, and getting to know him added a lot to the trip. My friend and I traveled with him from Punta Hermosa to Chicama for a week of surfing, visiting well-known spots and improving our skills. It was also a lovely way to experience Peru and learn about Peruvian culture. There may be fancier surf camps and hostels, but for a unique, authentic, unforgettable experience, I'd highly recommend a trip with Victor. I can't wait to come back someday!
